Stimulus is a social media platform run by boyscouts who mean well, so they're using checkmarks for those who verify their identity and use their full legal name. I joined because it is free and they give away shitloads of money. I also wondered if getting in early somewhere might get me exposure. So far, I have won no money and gained no exposure because about 100% of people on their are also business people. There's the rub.

They started allowing polls recently, so I'm testing the waters. Turns out, not everyone is fucking insane. Despite that this is a "trust the government and science" kind of institution, not everyone there is broken. One of my first posts was something about truth and some Karen came and commented and said, "I hope they remove you from this platform so we can have at least one nice place on the internet." And tagged the admin. I responded that she was behaving like a tyrant by requesting the removal of her peers' politely shared opinions and that her censoring arrogance is what truly had no place in a free society. She deleted the comment.

I'm interested to see how far my little experiment can go, with these polls. Let's see if a platform without algorithms and a decent amount of public exposure can bring light to where opinion actually lies.
